Reader’s Suggestions
- Standing at the Cross – Pete James – Youtube Link (Submitted by Stuart Gregg)
O Come to the Altar
These songs are interesting, but FAR more effective are songs without singers. The proper music with images of the death of Christ in a time of meditation is an extremely powerful tool for Good Friday. The problem I’m finding is typified by this site – all the suggested songs are sung – finding just music for Good Friday (maybe just the backgrounds of a couple of these suggestions) is proving quite, QUITE difficult.
Sounds like your looking for some instrumental music – I would try searching iTunes or Spotify with some of these titles and the word instrumental to see what comes up.
Mercy Tree
I love this song, we are doing it Easter Sunday.
Standing at the Cross – Pete James (UK based singer/songwriter)
