One creative idea for your worship services leading up to Easter would be to explore the idea of Lent through your visuals. If I remember correctly – I heard Stephen Proctor talk about implementing visual silence as a build up to Easter. Instead of the usual motion graphics or coloured backgrounds – for 40 days a church could choose to create their slides using only white text on black backgrounds. When Easter morning arrived – a church could deliberately use plenty of visuals and colour. It’s interesting to note the importance of contrast and deliberately using a visual medium to match the liturgical calendar.
