This was a reading I did recently about waiting on God. There are really no shortage of scriptures that would fit into these spots. Here’s just a few options. (Congregational parts are in bold)
Lam 3:24-26
24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” 25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; 26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
Give us strength and patience as we wait on you…
Isaiah 30:18 Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Give us strength and patience as we wait on you…
Ps. 27:13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Give us strength and patience as we wait on you…
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Give us strength and patience as we wait on you…

JonnaYour toughts stmtilaued two thoughts within me. One, I have always been excited when I have led a church in a Sader Meal. It was exciting to see how folks shared there stories with the children and the children learned so much about their faith. This is also why I really enjoy doing the children’s time in church. It is a time I can be relaxed with the children and share what I have learned about my faith and give them time to share what they have learned or what they were born to know of the spirit of God. Thanks for your sharing, Ken
